Use of Cookies

The WatchMeGoPro™ web site may use "cookies" to help you personalize your online experience.  A cookie is a text file that is placed on your computer’s disk drive by a web page server.  Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer.  Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize WatchMeGoPro™ web pages, or register with the WatchMeGoPro™ web site or services, a cookie helps the WatchMeGoPro™ web site to recall your specific information on subsequent visits.  This simplifies the process of recording your personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. When you return to the same WatchMeGoPro™ web site, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the WatchMeGoPro™ features that you customized.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the WatchMeGoPro™ services or web sites you visit.

Privacy Statement - Kids
Last Update: 11/29/09

The Operator recognizes the need to provide additional privacy protection and to comply with federal privacy law with respect to children under the age of 13 who may use the WatchMeGoPro™ web site. This Kids Privacy Policy is intended to supplement the Operator’s Privacy Statement - General in order to provide details about the additional privacy requirements applicable to children using the Site.

Web site operators which permit children under the age of 13 to use their services are subject to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). COPPA requires that we (i) inform parents or legal guardians about how we collect, use and disclose individually identifiable information of children under 13 to third parties; (ii) obtain parental consent to the child’s use of the Site; (iii) do not collect more information from the child than is reasonably necessary to participate in using the Site; and (iv) provide parents the ability to review their child’s information, withhold consent to disclosure of personal information to third parties, request deletion of the child’s information or refuse to allow further collection or use of the child’s information.

Collection of Kid’s Personal Information

The WatchMeGoPro™ web site collects personally identifiable contact information (or “personal information”) from users who register on the Site, such as e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number. The WatchMeGoPro™ web site also collects demographic information, which is not unique to an individual, such as ZIP code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favorites. Personal information does not include aggregate information which is data that we may generate about a group of users from which individually identifiable information has been removed.

In the case of kids, by whom we mean children under the age of 13, we permit them to enter personal information into a profile on the Site, but only with the explicit permission of the child’s parent or legal guardian. The child’s personal information may be viewed only by other users to whom the child (or child’s parent) has granted access.
We request a date of birth from each person who tries to register as a user on the Site. From this, we determine whether the new user is a kid. If the new user is a kid, we request a parent’s email address so that we can obtain consent to the kid’s use of the site. Once we have obtained consent, we allow children to communicate with other trusted users who have been permitted by the parent, except in limited circumstances. For example, we may collect the kid’s email address, in order to respond to requests, allow signing up for contests, or answering a kid’s questions. We may also permit the kid to participate in marketing or promotional programs; however, any personal information we collect is used only for internal purposes and is not disclosed to third parties.

Use and Disclosure of Kid’s Personal Information

The Operator collects and uses personal information from all users, including kids, to operate the WatchMeGoPro™ web site and deliver the services you have requested. We do not disclose personal information about kids to any third party except (i) to other users who have been granted explicit permission to view a child’s profile by the child’s parent; (ii) to trusted partners to help carry out work on our behalf; (iii) to comply with law or comply with legal process served on the Operator or the Site; or (iv) as part of a merger or acquisition, creation of a separate business, or in the event of insolvency, in which personal information could be transferred as one of the business assets of the company.

Parents have the right to consent to our collection and use of their kids’ personal information without consenting to our disclosure of such information to third parties (except as noted in the preceding paragraph). Parents also have the right to refuse permission to us to collect personal information from their kids. Parents may request that we change or delete account information that we have collected from their kids by sending an email to privacy@watchmegopro.com

Changes to this Statement

The Operator reserves the right to modify or amend this Policy at any time. We will send an email to parents when any material changes to this Policy are made. It is the responsibility of parents to ensure that we have current email contact information.
